Egg Power: a tiny portable house
From the outside, this space-saving egg looks smaller than it really is. Like Mary Poppins’s handbag, the Ecocapsule is surprisingly roomy inside: a low-energy house in a very compact form with enough space for two adults. The Ecocapsule is powered by a built-in wind turbine complemented by an array of solar cells. This dual power system and a high-capacity battery ensure plenty of power during periods of reduced solar or wind activity.
With a built-in kitchenette with running water, a toilet and a hot shower, it offers the luxuries of a hotel room out in the wilderness. Its spherical shape is optimized to collect rainwater and dew and the built-in water filters allow you to utilize any water source.
Interested? Pre-orders will be accepted starting in autumn. The Ecocapsule will be ready for delivery sometime in 2016.
